Chincoteague and Assateague Islands. Whether you choose to schedule
your massage for the day of your arrival or after a couple of days exploring
the natural beauty of the islands, you want to go home feeling relaxed and
refreshed! This why we are pleased to introduce the most relaxing and
rejuvenating Spa and Massage Services on the island.
Our professional certified and licensed massage
therapist utilize a variety of proven massage techniques combined with the
purest aromatherapy and essential oils to provide you with a relaxing
massage experience.
Relax
Close your eyes, relax and exhale as your
massage therapist applies Swedish massage techniques to help you de-stress,
unwind and enjoy a deep sense of relaxation. Your body's circulation
is boosted as sore joints and muscles are quickly alleviated.
Swedish is the most familiar and often
considered the foundation for all western forms of massage. Five basic
movements are utilized during Swedish massage; including long gliding
strokes, kneading, friction, tapping and vibration. Firm gentle
pressure improves circulation, flexibility and relaxation while easing
muscle aches and tension.
Swedish Full Body Massage
60 minutes - $80
90 minutes - $100
Restore
Work a little to hard? Let your massage therapist customize this deep
tissue massage based upon your specific areas of concern. A variety of
therapeutic techniques are incorporated to ensure your tightened nerves are
released and work to alleviate any stress-related tenderness.
Deep tissue is a general category of bodywork utilizing many of the same
movements as Swedish. However, deep tissue massage is aimed at the
deeper muscle and connective tissue. The pressure will generally be
more intense and focused as the therapist works to release deeper chronic
muscle tension and knots (or adhesions). Deep tissue massage shouldn't
hurt, so communication with the therapist is important during this therapy.
Deep Tissue Full Body Massage
60 minutes - $80
90 minutes - $115
Energize
Need a quick pick me up? Using Myofascial Release techniques your
massage therapist will free tension allowing for full use of your muscles.
Certainly one of the most freeing and gentle forms of massage.
The Myofascial Release technique aims to free the tension specifically in
the fascia (the connective tissue that surrounds and supports all muscles,
organs and bones in the body). In order to restore balance in the body
and allow muscles to move freely the fascia itself must be free of tension
and adhesion. The therapist uses long, slow, gliding strokes to
stretch and mobilize both deep and surface fascia. This is a very
calming, freeing and overall relaxing form of massage.
Myofascial Full Body Massage
60 minutes - $80
90 minutes - $100
Balance
Increase your body's natural balance by enjoying this unique Hot Stone
Massage with rejuvenating stones chosen for their mineralizing and grounding
qualities. The stones are strategically placed using smooth gliding
strokes on your body's vital organs, creating balance in your entire energy
flow. This advanced therapy stimulates blood and lymphatic
circulation, increases your skin's cellular activity and promotes tissue
regeneration.
Hot Stone Massage is a deeply soothing and comforting technique that uses
smooth heated stones. The therapist uses basic massage strokes,
replacing stones as they cool. Additional stones are placed at
specific points along the spine, in the palms of the hands and between toes.
The heat of the stones warms and relaxes the muscles so they may be worked
with less pressure. This is an extra special massage technique good
for pain, tension, poor circulation, arthritis, stress, insomnia, anxiety
and depression.
