Choose a beautifully appointed room at our Chincoteague Island bed & breakfast during your Labor Day Weekend on the Virginia coast.

There’s still time to plan your 2012 Labor Day weekend vacation on Chincoteague Island. Book ahead at our inn between Virginia’s Eastern Shore mainland and Assateague Island. Eight individually decorated rooms await you, all with their own private bathrooms. Some have additional amenities such as flat screen TV, fireplace and garden views. The 1848 manor house has been restored to retain its historic charm while offering all the modern amenities you expect, including free Wi-Fi. In September, it’ll still be hot, so you’ll appreciate choosing an inn near Assateague that’s fully air conditioned. The large Maryland “T”-style home also offers plenty of space to relax, whether in the three spacious common areas or out on the inviting patio and surrounding gardens.

The longer Labor Day weekend gives you plenty of time to explore the natural beauty of the Virginia coast. See the Chincoteague ponies and a variety of wildlife and wild birds at the Assateague National Seashore. Strolling its 37 miles of unspoiled beaches will help you forget any cares of the workaday world. Bask on the sands of Assateague Beach or get on the water and kayak lazily past Assateague Lighthouse. You can also reach the lighthouse by biking or hiking the trail that goes from Chincoteague to Assateague Island.

As a traditional fishing village in one the the great fishing areas of the Atlantic coast, there’s also great fishing in Chincoteague. Rent some gear from a local fishing shop and peacefully fish off the pier. You can also hire a fishing charter to do some serious deep sea fishing or take a scenic cruise to see ponies, dolphins and the gorgeous Chincoteague sunset.

If you like the shopping and dining out, our inn near Assateague is right on Chincoteague’s historic Main Street. You can walk to enjoy the fresh seafood restaurants and unique shops of Chincoteague.

After a day of playing or relaxing, you’ll love coming home to the luxuries and comforts of your guest room in our Chincoteague inn.

If this sounds like a great way to spend the long Labor Day weekend, give us a call at (757) 336-5436 or check availability today!
