The 2012 Holiday Home Tour will feature a dozen extraordinary Chincoteague Island homes! This event is popular with local as out-of-town guests. For locals, it is a chance to mingle and see each other in a leisurely setting during the colder winter months, when we aren’t out on the beach – all the time. For visitors, the Holiday Home Tour is an opportunity to look around the inside of remarkable and historic homes. The home on the tour represent the architectural integrity and diversity of our eclectic community. Decked out in their finest for the holidays, the tour homes will have docents on duty to point out the rich history, architecture, distinctive features and decorations of each home. Purchase tickets ($20) at Threadgoodes (4211 Main St.) or call 757.336.6858.
The Chincoteague Holiday Home Tour will take place on Dec. 1 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. The tour always features a wide variety of homes, some with over-the-top holiday decorations, others feature special collections and memorabilia. Other homes simply have a wonderful story to tell. Come visit and see all the charming cottages, historic buildings and houses on this year’s tour, which benefits our local Kiwanis Club.
We will hope to see you at our own deocrated and historical property, the Island Manor, a luxury Chincoteague bed and breakfast.
