Come to Virginia’s eastern shore this holiday season for a Chincoteague Island holiday getaway! It’s sunny, cool and there’s plenty to do. In fact, the calendar is so crowded with special events you’d think it was summer!
After summer, fall may be the next best season to visit Chincoteague. Our skies stay primarily sunny, with an average daily temperature of 50 degrees. While we do see more visitors during the spring and summer seasons, that’s a big part of the attraction of the “off-season” – smaller crowds!
Chincoteague is home to unique shops and galleries that are perfect for holiday shopping. You’ll also find some of the finest, freshest seafood on the coast.
Further, just because it’s the “off-season” doesn’t mean we’re rolled up and stored away ’til next spring. Chincoteague is our home year-round and we have a lot of fun, especially during the holiday season.
